An Update on COVID-19
Dear Oasis of Harmony Wellness Family,
As I am learning more about the COVID-19 Coronavirus, I want to personally let you know how seriously and committed I am to everyone that comes into my treatment’s space’s safety and wellbeing, as well as your family members, friends and the greater community at large. I, as well as the other practitioners at the wellness center where Oasis of Harmony Wellness is located (HeartsGate Wellness) are operating under the direction fo the CDC guidelines, the Maryland Department of Health and the Maryland State Board of Acupuncture in order to stay as safe as possible.
During these stressful and challenging times, wellness care is more important than ever to keep our immune systems and bodies healthy and reducing the emotional stress and anxiety of this pandemic and life in general.
The following protocols are what I will be doing in order to keep our healing space safe:
* Continue washing hands before and after every patient and hand sanitizing many times in between
* Wiping down and sanitizing all frequently touched and shared surfaces such as door knobs, the touchpad on my phone for payment, water cooler, chair arms, treatment tables and desk surfaces, etc. routinely throughout the day.
* Using medical grade sanitizing spray on all surfaces in the treatment room after each patient, specifically on the treatment table and face cradle.
* Using only disposable table paper on the treatment table and face cradle. The use of all linens will be discontinued except for draping sheets which will be changed and laundered after each patient.
* If experiencing any symptoms of cold, flu or COVID-19, I will be cancelling treatments and not coming into the treatment space.
In addition to these practices that I am personally taking within the wellness center and treatment room, we have come together as a community during this trying time and therefore myself as well as the wellness center that I practice out of (HeartsGate Wellness) are requesting the following of all patients who come in for treatment.
* We are requiring that anyone entering the wellness center to wear a mask and have posted signs stating this.
* You may come into the wellness center waiting room to wait for your scheduled appointment time. Please maintain a six foot distance when possible from other patients who may also be waiting for their practitioner. If you would feel more comfortable waiting in the parking lot, please let me know and I can escort you into the wellness center.
* We are requesting that only patients being treated come into the wellness center unless you need assistance in and out of the building.
* Please wash your hands and/or sanitize your hands before your treatment - hand sanitizer will be provided for immediate use upon entering my treatment room and you can wash your hands in the bathroom upon entering the building.
* Please reschedule your appointment if you have ANY sign or symptom of cold, flu or COVID-19 such as cough, fever or a loss of sense of smell - there will be no cancellation fees applied.
* If you suspect that you have been exposed to or in contact with someone who has tested positive, may have tested positive or is awaiting a test result for COVID-19, please reschedule your appointment - there will be no cancellation fee applied.
Thank you so much for bearing with me as we are continuing to navigate this pandemic. I as well as the practitioners at HeartsGate will continue to update practice procedures and protocols as the situation continues to evolve. Please be assured that your safety and the safety of our community will remain my highest priority.
I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year and am hopeful that this year will be full of good health and a semblance of normalcy. Happy Holidays and Be Well!
